Apple iBook G3/800mHz (32 VRAM – Tr)

The iBook G3/800 (32 VRAM/Late 2002 – Translucent White), features an 800 MHz PowerPC 750fx (G3) processor with a 512k “on chip” level 2 cache, 128 MB of RAM, a 30.0 GB Ultra ATA hard drive, a tray-loading 16X/8X/8X/24X DVD-ROM/CD-RW “Combo” drive, 2X AGP ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics with 32 MB of VRAM, and optional AirPort (802.11b) packed into a compact translucent white case with a 12.1″ TFT XGA active matrix display (1024×768 native resolution).

The iBook G3/800 (32 VRAM/Late 2002) is quite similar to the iBook G3/700 (16 VRAM/Mid-2002) from the previous series, but the “32 VRAM” model has 32 MB of video RAM — as one would expect given the informal name — as well as a faster processor, a larger hard drive, and a faster optical drive.

The iBook G3/800 (32 VRAM/Late 2002) also is similar to the G3/700 (Opaque 16 VRAM/Late 2002) introduced at the same time, but the “32 VRAM” model has a faster processor, 32 MB of VRAM (instead of 16 MB), a larger hard drive (30 GB instead of 20 GB), and a more capable optical drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW instead of CD-ROM). The “Opaque 16″ model also uses an opaque case and the “32 VRAM” model uses a translucent one.
