Our shipping costs cary from £1.50 for pram batteries through to £13.50 for a computer with keyboard and mouse or monitor. All our packaging is made to order from recycled card and void fill is manufactured from recycled Polystyrene.

Please remember, we're NOT VAT registered, so whether you're buying within the UK or from Europe, the price you see for each unit is the price you'll pay for that item!

Apple Powerbook G4 1.0 gHz 17 inch

The Apple Macintosh PowerBook G4/1.0 17", the first notebook to ship with a truly enormous 17" widescreen TFT active-matrix display with a high resolution. The Powerbook features a 1.0 GHz PowerPC (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit, 256k DDR SRAM on-chip level 2 cache , a 1.0 MB DDR SRAM level 3 cache, 512 MB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM, a 60.0 GB Ultra ATA/100 (4200 RPM) hard drive, a slot-loading 2X/6X/8X/4X/24X DVD-R/CD-RW SuperDrive, an NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go (AGP 4X) video controller with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in FireWire "800", Bluetooth 1.1 and AirPort Extreme (802.11g) wireless networking. The PowerBook G4/1.0 17" also features an ultracool fiber-optic-based "ambient light sensor" that automatically "measures ambient light and works with integrated software to adjust keyboard illumination and screen brightness based on user preferences". This is still one serious bit of kit and will pretty much knock the socks off high end PCs. Tests have shown that emulation of Windows 2k via Virtual PC beat a 1.67gHz Pentium 4 based computer running the same software!
