As far as SCSI goes, it's still a pretty fast storage method. The 2.1 gig hard drive is no longer manufactured and the only way we can provide them is to get them from non-functional macs. They're a pretty rare breed, considering 2.1 gig scsi drives were used pretty much in Macs and nothing else.
The 2.1 gigabyte Apple Mac scsi hard drive has a 50 pin connector for adding to old world macs from the LC series right through to Powermacs. We keep a small stock of them, just in case. All our second user drives are fully tested to ensure they're working, reformatted and drivers/ partitions installed.
